Old-Fashioned Snickerdoodles (Grandma’s Recipe)

Fall is in the air don’t you think?  This is my absolute favorite time of year, especially when you get to enjoy some cooler weather.  My family and I just went on another camping trip over Labor Day weekend and it was so chilly in the mountains! I loved escaping the heat and enjoying that fresh mountain air.

Even though camping is so much work with kids, I needed that break away from the daily routine around the house. We only stayed for one night, but it was a complete reset for me.

I had made a batch of these snickerdoodles before we left and the aroma it left in my house was so cozy!  Cinnamon and sugar on a cookie?  Yes please!  Now I am really in the mood for fall!

Snickerdoodles have always been one of my favorite cookies.  This recipe is absolutely wonderful and what makes it even better is that it is my Grandmother’s recipe. I love family recipes and they are so special to me! I remember my mom making these growing up and I loved them! My kids love them just as much as I do too.

These snickerdoodles are so easy to make.  They are lightly crisp on the outside and have a soft fluffy center.  Amazing!

This recipe has never failed me and they turn out perfect every time.  If you are looking for a good, traditional snickerdoodle recipe, this is the one for you.

Enjoy!

  1. I have made these cookies since a teenager. The best flavor and texture. Always a favorite for my family. I hope others will make this recipe as it is the best snickerdoodle cookie I have ever tasted. Thanks Marie!
