Last week our friends needed Josh’s help unloading a chicken coop they had bought. Well you know one thing turns into another and there we all are on their back patio grilling up some food, sipping beer and sangria, talking chickens, kids, jobs, and life. Summer evenings like that are the best.
I don’t know about you but after a hot long day sometimes I just need to sit with my feet up and enjoy something cool and refreshing. As a lover of wine, sangria is something I really enjoy.
I had a lot of limes that needed to be used. In addition, I had a large bottle of Pinot Grigio in my fridge so… hello refreshing strawberry lime sangria! This is going to be made plenty of times this summer. It is so good!
A bottle of white wine, strawberry simple syrup, fresh lime juice, and lemon-lime soda for some fizz, and you seriously can’t go wrong. I used Pinot Grigio for this recipe. If you prefer a sweeter white, and overall a sweeter drink, a Riesling or Moscato would be just as delicious. It makes a large pitcher, plenty to store in the refrigerator or to share with company.
If you love wine and sangria, this is a really fun recipe! It is tart and sweet and is perfect for summer sipping! Hope you enjoy!
